We prescribe licensed menopause hormone therapies, including tablets, gels, patches, vaginal creams and suppositories. This includes bioidentical options and micronised progesterone.
Common brands include Oestrogel, Divigel, Utrogestan, Premarin, Vagifem, Femoston, Progyluton and Livial (Tibolone). Your doctor will guide you on the most suitable option for you.
Note: We don’t prescribe compounded BHRT creams, as these are not regulated. If you’re currently using them, our doctors can help you transition to a safe, licensed alternative, at a pace you’re comfortable with.

Refills
If you’re already on MHT, we’ll review how you’re feeling and continue your treatment, or adjust your prescription if needed.
New starts (MHT-focused)
For women who are ready to start MHT or want a focused discussion on MHT, we’ll review your symptoms and medical history during the consult and proceed if appropriate.
Not sure yet?
If you’re still exploring your symptoms or would like a broader discussion on treatment options before deciding on MHT, an exploratory menopause consultation (click here to book) may be a better place to start.
Yes. As long as your MHT was prescribed by a doctor, we can help with refills. Just let us know what medication and dosage you’re currently on.
For most women, starting or continuing MHT does not require bloodwork testing. We’ll let you know if anything further is needed based on your medical history.
We usually ask for a mammogram from within the past year. If you already have one, we’ll review it together. If not, we can help arrange the mammogram and any breast exams needed to get you started.
Once your symptoms are well controlled and your treatment plan is working for you, most patients move to one maintenance consultation per year.
Between annual visits, you can request up to six months of medication through an online assessment. This allows our team to check in on your progress and approve refills safely.
You’re always welcome to book an earlier consultation if you’d like to adjust your dose, change medications, or if closer monitoring is recommended based on your health.
For most healthy women under 60, or within 10 years of menopause, MHT is considered safe and effective for symptom relief and for protecting bone health. Your doctor will review your personal health history and help you weigh the benefits and risks based on what matters to you.
For women over 60 or over 10 years past menopause, vaginal MHT remains a viable and safe option. Unlike systemic MHT, vaginal MHT works only where it is applied, with minimal absorption into the bloodstream. Considered safe for most women, vaginal MHT can be helpful for symptoms such as vaginal dryness, recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs), discomfort during sex, or ongoing vaginal irritation.
Not necessarily. MHT is offered to relieve symptoms that are affecting your quality of life, but it may not be suitable for everyone. There are situations where MHT may need to be delayed or avoided, including:
If MHT isn’t suitable for you — or if you’d prefer to explore other approaches first — we’ll talk through alternatives and help you decide on the next step.
Many women notice improvement within 3-5 weeks, though some symptoms take longer to settle. We’ll review your response and adjust if needed.
Video consultations are a safe and effective way to start menopause care and are often easier to fit into busy schedules. Much of the assessment is based on your symptoms, how you’ve responded to treatment (if applicable), and your medical history — all of which can be reviewed safely over video. This approach is widely used internationally.
During the consultation, your doctor will assess whether any further checks or in-clinic examination are needed and guide you on the next steps.
While most patients start with a video consultation, if you’d prefer to begin in clinic, you’re welcome to do so — click here to book your consult.
