What can you claim, and what can you not?

Coverage depends on the type of care, and on your own insurance or employer benefits.

Mammograms and breast ultrasounds

These may be MediSave-claimable when done to investigate or follow up an existing medical finding. This is subject to MediSave rules and your eligibility.

Consultations and general tests

Outpatient menopause consultations and MHT prescriptions are generally not claimable under MediSave or CHAS. Some private or corporate health insurance plans may reimburse them. We provide itemised receipts and clinical memos to support claims where needed.

Screen for Life cervical screening

Eligible women can have CHAS-subsidised HPV screening at our clinic, from free up to $5 depending on your card. See the Screen for Life programme for who qualifies.

MHT and HRT

Most insurance providers do not cover MHT. If your employer offers benefits such as Carrot Fertility, you may be able to claim. Hey Taylor is a recognised provider for eligible menopause claims.

All prices are nett and inclusive of GST. Last updated August 2026.

Frequently asked questions

What are the first signs of perimenopause?

Perimenopause can feel very different from woman to woman. While hot flushes are a well-known symptom, in Singapore the most common symptoms are aching joints (such as frozen shoulder), disturbed sleep, sexual health and urinary symptoms (urgency or frequency), physical and mental exhaustion.1,2 For many, the most general feeling is simply: “I don’t feel like myself.” Many assume it is just stress or ageing.3

Can I be in perimenopause if my periods are still regular?

Yes. Symptoms can start before your periods change. Regular periods do not rule it out, and you do not need to wait for them to stop to get help.3,4

I was told I am too young for menopause. Could it still be perimenopause?

It could be. Perimenopause symptoms can start two to ten years before periods finally stop in menopause. This means you could be in menopause in the early to mid forties. Some women notice changes in their late thirties.3,4 It's important to get a menopause doctor's assessment.

Do I need a blood test to diagnose perimenopause?

Usually not. For women over 45 with perimenopause symptoms, international medical guidelines agree that menopause should be assessed based on your symptoms and history.4,5,6 For women under 45, blood tests can be helpful for the diagnosis of early menopause or premature ovarian insufficiency (where ovarian function ceases earlier than expected).4 It depends and it's a two-way discussion with the doctor.

Is HRT safe?

For most healthy women under 60, or within ten years of their last period, the benefits of HRT outweigh the risks.4,6 Modern body-identical oestrogen through the skin, as a patch or gel, avoids the raised clot risk linked to older tablets.7 Whether it suits you depends on your medical history.

How much does menopause treatment cost in Singapore?

At Hey Taylor a 20-minute consultation is $74.10 nett, and most HRT medication is about $60 to $70 a month for oestrogen and progesterone. A perimenopause hormone screen, if needed, is $204.90 nett and includes a review consultation with a menopause doctor. Detailed prices can be found in the article above.

Every stage of a woman’s life brings with it another dimension to uncover about her identity and biology. As her needs change, her healthcare journey starts again, closing one chapter and opening the next. Each chapter requires moving across clinics and hospitals, sharing and baring herself to different providers, with little clarity or control.

It’s time to look at her story as a continuous one - one that connects and embraces her life stages, that cares for her health and wellbeing beyond a visit, that looks after her needs first, and one in which her healthcare is not difficult or fragmented. As a healthcare provider designed by women for women, Taylor brings to her story ease, seamlessness and empowerment.

The most logical type of healthcare for her is what she deserves all along - an integrated healthcare provider that cares for her with empathy and holistically, through her life’s transitions, for life.

Healthcare for her is simply as it should be.
