What happens after you book

After completing your booking, you will receive a link for appointment scheduling and a short health questionnaire. The process is as follows:

Step 01: Fill in our health questionnaire and book your desired time slot. An appointment confirmation will be sent to you in a few hours.
Step 02: Visit the imaging centre for your DEXA scan.
Step 03: Expect to receive your scan report within 7 working days

Why it matters in midlife

‍During perimenopause and menopause, your bones lose the protective support of estrogen. This can lead to a sudden drop in bone mass—especially in the first five years after your periods stop, when women can lose up to 20% of their bone density.

Because bone loss is often "silent," many women don't realise their bones are thinning until a minor trip or fall results in a fracture. We want to help you catch this early, so you can keep moving, running, and living independently for decades to come.

If your screening identifies osteopenia or osteoporosis, we’re here to help you build them back up:

• Medical Consultations: Discussing bone-protective options like Menopause Hormone Therapy (MHT) or specific medications.
• Lifestyle Guidance: Targeted supplementation and dietary shifts to support bone remodelling. Guidance on safe weight-bearing exercises to build and maintain bone strength.

What to expect

‍We use the DEXA (Dual-energy X-ray Absorptiometry) Scan, the global gold standard for measuring bone strength.

• Precision: A safe, low-radiation scan that measures density in the hip and spine.
• Early Detection: We detect thinning bones (osteopenia) before a fracture occurs, giving you time to take preventive action.
• Baseline Mapping: Track changes over time to ensure your lifestyle and medical strategies are working.

A follow-up consultation is available online or in-person. A separate fee applies for this consultation.

Preparation for Test

Please avoid calcium tablets 24 hours before the scan.

Kindly note that appointments for purchased health services online must be scheduled and fulfilled within three (3) months from the date of purchase. Failure to schedule or complete the appointment within this timeframe may result in forfeiture of the service without eligibility for a refund. Taylor reserves the right to update the information or fees associated with this service without prior notice.

Cancellation Policy

We do not accept any cancellations / refunds except in the following scenarios:

• The patient is medically unable to complete the service    
• System errors resulting in duplicated orders or order errors    
• Taylor is unable to provide the service purchased        
• Any cancellation request must be made within 7 days from the date of purchase and at least 3 days prior to the appointment date.    
• Except in special cases, there would be no cancellations / refunds as long as the service has started
• Please note that Taylor does not allow for any cancellations due to change of mind. We seek your understanding for this.
