What happens after you book

After completing your booking, you will receive a link for appointment scheduling and a brief fertility questionnaire. The process is as follows:

Step 01: Visit the lab for your blood test at your chosen time slot.
Step 02: Expect to receive your personalised test report within a few hours to 1 working day.

What is the beta-HCG test about?

The beta-HCG test checks the exact amount of HCG hormone in the blood. This hormone, which the body produces during pregnancy, shows up in the blood and urine as soon as 11 days after conception. Knowing the level of HCG can help pinpoint how far along the pregnancy is and identify any unusual pregnancies, like ectopic or molar pregnancies, or warn of potential miscarriages.

HCG levels typically double every 72 hours and hit their highest point between 8-11 weeks into the pregnancy before stabilising. As the pregnancy progresses and HCG levels rise, the doubling time may slow to every 96 hours. However, it's important not to rely solely on HCG numbers—low levels can still mean a healthy pregnancy. For a more accurate assessment of pregnancy, an ultrasound after 5-6 weeks gestation is recommended.

Kindly note that appointments for purchased health services online must be scheduled and fulfilled within three (3) months from the date of purchase. Failure to schedule or complete the appointment within this timeframe may result in forfeiture of the service without eligibility for a refund. Taylor reserves the right to update the information or fees associated with this service without prior notice.

Cancellation Policy

We do not accept any cancellations / refunds except in the following scenarios:

• The patient is medically unable to complete the service    
• System errors resulting in duplicated orders or order errors    
• Taylor is unable to provide the service purchased        
• Any cancellation request must be made within 7 days from the date of purchase and at least 3 days prior to the appointment date.    
• Except in special cases, there would be no cancellations / refunds as long as the service has started
• Please note that Taylor does not allow for any cancellations due to change of mind. We seek your understanding for this.
