Full Blood Count & Iron (Ferritin)Detects anemia or iron deficiency, which can cause fatigue and affect your baby’s oxygen supply.
Thalassaemia Screen Identifies silent carrier traits that can cause serious blood disorders in the baby if both parents are carriers.
Blood Group & Rh FactorDetects blood incompatibility between you and your baby. This can be prevented with an injection if picked up early.
Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV & SyphilisScreens for infections that can be treated to prevent passing them to your baby.
Rubella (German Measles) ImmunityConfirms you’re protected. Infection in early pregnancy can cause birth defects.

This test measures how your body processes sugar and helps detect gestational diabetes during pregnancy. You’ll fast overnight before the test. A blood sample is taken before drinking a glucose solution, then one more blood sample is collected after two hours. The results show how well your body manages glucose over time.

Includes both screenings above, recommended for patients who are at risk of gestational diabetes and have not done an antenatal screen.
