What happens after you book

After completing your booking, you will receive a link for appointment scheduling and a brief fertility questionnaire. The process is as follows:

Step 01: Fill in our fertility questionnaire and book your desired time slot for the fertility check on 20 March. Based on your medical history, our doctor may reach out to have a complimentary video consultation prior to the fertility check.
Step 02: On 20th March, we'll see you on the 8th floor of 80 Robinson Rd at the stipulated time of your blood test. It'll be over in 15 minutes.
Step 03: Expect to receive your test report within 7 working days.
Step 04: Discuss your results with our doctor or a fertility expert over a video call.

What is the Fertility Health Screening about?

This screening offers valuable insights into various aspects of a woman's reproductive health, including the status of her ovarian reserve, the condition of her thyroid, and the functioning of her ovaries. This information is key for understanding fertility, planning for pregnancy, and identifying potential issues that might need to be addressed to optimise reproductive health.

Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH):

Ovarian Reserve Indicator: AMH is produced directly by the cells of ovarian follicles (which contain your eggs). It is a reliable marker of the egg supply in your ovaries. A higher AMH level typically indicates a more abundant ovarian reserve.

Predictor of Menopause Onset: AMH levels decrease with age, and significantly low levels can indicate an approaching menopause. This is crucial for timing fertility plans, such as egg freezing and building a family.

In relation to Egg Freezing and IVF: AMH levels can help in predicting the response of ovaries to stimulation in treatments like IVF and egg freezing, which aids the doctor in personalising your treatment plan.

Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH):

Thyroid Health and Fertility: TSH is indicative of thyroid gland health. The thyroid gland plays a pivotal role in regulating the body's metabolic processes, which includes reproductive health. Both hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) and hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) can lead to fertility issues.

Impact on Menstrual Cycle: Abnormal TSH levels can disrupt menstrual cycles, making conception challenging.

Importance in Pregnancy: Proper thyroid function is crucial for pregnancy maintenance and the health of the fetus. Thyroid disorders can lead to complications such as miscarriage, preterm birth, and developmental issues in the child.

Vitamin D:

Vitamin D is a nutrient for your ovaries. Women with lower vitamin D levels often had a harder time getting pregnant naturally. If you're considering fertility treatments like IVF, vitamin D becomes even more important. Women with good vitamin D levels tend to have better outcomes: more positive pregnancy tests, higher chances of getting pregnant, and more successful births.

Cancellation Policy

We do not accept any cancellations / refunds except in the following scenarios:

• The patient is medically unable to complete the service    
• System errors resulting in duplicated orders or order errors    
• Taylor is unable to provide the service purchased        
• Any cancellation request must be made at least 7 days prior to the on-site fertility screening event.
• Except in special cases, there would be no cancellations / refunds as long as the service has started
• Please note that Taylor does not allow for any cancellations due to change of mind. We seek your understanding for this.
